By Nature people are solitary souls, and yet are born with a natural need for companionship, or a sense of family. Whether your family consists of only the two of you, or if it includes a hand full of siblings, their kids and their kid's kids. Families keep in touch, families get together, but most of all families remember. What could help you to remember your family better than a family portrait.

Mix & Match

When you have a family, it also means you have a group of individuals . If one day you bring in all your kids for a family portrait you don't want to go through all that on another day just to get a portrait of each child. I think every one can associate with that kind of stress.
At Downtown Studios we include individual shots in the family sitting for a unlimited amount of people , (just because you never know the next time they'll all be this clean.)

The "Other" Family Member

The dog is man's best friend, so is the cat, the bird, lizard, bunny, and even in some houses in Japan, the cricket. Now with all these best friends you'd think everyone would love to include their favorite pet in the family portrait. Well they would if they knew we at Downtown Studios consider your pets as part of the family, If you want pet portraits with your family portraits, that's O.K..

Out Door And On Location

The area in which we live has been called one of the most beautiful scenic parts of the country. And I'd bet right out your front door you could find a dozen or more different places you would like to have your portraits taken. We like that, we have the attitude that every one should take advantage of the great fortune of scenery available to us. In fact we refuse to charge extra for outdoor portraits, why should we, we didn't build the scenery, and it'll be there long after we leave.

In fact the only thing we charge extra for is gas, and that's only if we have to drive to a location farther than our normal 15 mile radius. and then all we do is charge for the additional mileage (over 15) to cover the expense.
